Annual Meeting Celebrates Our Accomplishments

Every November, the Collaboration Council's partners and friends come together to celebrate our collective accomplishments over the past fiscal year. This year, 200 guests were greeted and served appetizers and desserts by our youth volunteers from Healthy Living Lifestyle and Center for Adoption Support and Education. To showcase the Collaboration Council's work, service providers joined together to present the Report to the Community. Featured were Healthy Families Montgomery, Arts on the Block, Gandhi Brigade, One Dream Academy, NHS, LCC, Lead4Life, and Montgomery County Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health.

Throughout the program, our board members presented the Collaboration Council's Award for Time Well Spent On Behalf of Montgomery's Children to Teresa Bennett, Art Billings, Arva Jackson, Senator Nancy King, Brenda Petersen, and The Gazette. A special thank you to our top sponsors for their continued support of our work that strengthens the community, and ensure that children and families get the services and supports they need to lead healthy and succesful lives: The Gazette, Adventist HealthCare, M&T Bank, and Maryland Choices.
